Pre-COVID-19, Multicam was a global supplier for cutting machines and solutions for a variety of industries. Since then, Multicam pivoted their business to help make a difference during this unprecedented time. Using their machines, they began cranking out face shields, reusable hospital gowns and other personal protective equipment for first responders.
David Morse, chairman and CEO of Multicam, was quoted for an article that appeared in the Dallas Morning News. He shared that he “quite literally I was lying awake in bed at 3 a.m. thinking about this horrible pandemic and how we could help and how I can keep our employees working. Within a day Julio Pierre, who runs my Solutions team, came back to me with a design and was ready to start producing what we call the Multi-Shield,” he said. “We have since designed and are producing shields, medical gowns for doctors and nurses and most recently intubation boxes,” which protect doctors as they treat COVID-19 patients.
